Celebrating Royal Greenwich

Second Floor Studios and Arts (SFSA) and the gallery no format were invited by the Royal Greenwich Council to curate 5 months of visual arts programming at the Berkeley Gallery. As part of the programming planning SFSA committed to an exhibition that would visually have a borough connection and chose to link up with ArtPlatform to co-ordinate and curate a group, fine art photographic show as the ArtPlatform partnership also encapsulates raising money for two local charities.

ArtPlatform invited photographers who are currently involved with ArtPlatform and photographers who are members of SFSA to respond to the following direction:

‘To capture and interpret the spirit, diversity, heritage and evolving face of the Greenwich Borough through the medium of fine art photography'

TARU Arts

At TARU Arts We offer a diverse range of bespoke projects using art, music, dance and performing arts to deliver inspiring and creative learning opportunities and raise environmental awareness. ‘Learn as you play' is at the heart of everything we do and our projects in the community provide memorable and enriching experiences, working together to learn about the environment and sustainability.

Focusing on full participation by children and young people, our activities develop and improve confidence, team-working skills, well-being and celebrate creativity and cultural diversity. Our working process inspires and motivates participants to create and experience a vibrant and energetic outcome with a ‘wow' factor that everyone involved is guaranteed to enjoy.

South London Special League

South London Special League is a unique Greenwich based project that offers
opportunities for disabled people through sport to improve their lives, increase fitness, raise their self esteem and heighten their aspirations. It is an award winning successful community based project that enables young players with disabilities to participate and compete at a level appropriate to their ability.

The league was set up in 2004. Since this date well over five  thousand players  have experienced the fun of playing football. The project has been managed since its inception by Sharon Brokenshire and has received a variety of awards for excellence that demonstrate the level of commitment of the management committee.

Join us at the CANTEEN for a cuppa tea and cake and take in the great images of Greenwich, on display until mid August 2012.
